Current for over three decades, the fandom called furries happens to be a phenomenon that is worldwide. While utilized interchangeably and adopting connotations that are different furries, in a nutshell, are animal characters with human-like faculties (anthropomorphic). The expression can be used to determine both the figures by themselves in addition to their fans.

Furries may be both real and imagined pets as they are frequently produced from cartoon characters, such as for instance Scooby-Doo and My minimal Pony.
